“J & R Racing Continues Working their Way to the Top”
J & R Racing Team Journal

Saturday, August 4th was a hot and muggy day out at Concord Motorsport
Park. The J & R Racing team displayed a good show at the start of the
day; however, luck was again not a member of J.P. Morgan’s team.
After a good qualifying run of 16.89, the J & R Racing team started this
50- lap race in the 4th position. The car ran well for the first few laps
of the race, but early on J.P. was spun in turn four by Ryan Thigpen.
At
the re-start J.P. started his comeback from the rear only to be pushed
into the inside wall on the front stretch. Unfortunately, this collision
destroyed to front clip of the car taking J.P. out of a race that had
barely begun.
The next few weeks will be spent rebuilding the blue car. Both the front
clip as well as the suspension will have to be replaced. Next week the J
& R Racing team will bring back the silver car for Concord’s 150-lap NWRS
Supershow. The silver car is ready to race. With just a little bit of
help from lady luck, the team hopes to put on a great show for their fans
at Concord Motorsport Park.
