Textilease To Sponsor South Boston's Weekly Racing SeriesSouth Boston, VA (Feb 16) - Officials of South Boston Speedway and Textilease Corporation jointly announce today that Textilease will serve as the series title sponsor of the Speedway's legendary NASCAR Late Model Stock Car Division in 2001. Textilease has an on going relationship with the Speedway, serving as title sponsor of its ASA ACDelco Series event scheduled for April 7th, the Textilease Medique 300. Textlease is a driving force in workplace apparel, first-aid service and medical supplies, servicing 38,000 companies from Maryland to Georgia. Graduates of South Boston's Late Model Division include Ward Burton, Jeff Burton, Stacy Compton, Wayne Grubb, Kevin Grubb, Elliott and Hermie Sadler. Textilease Medique is one of the nation's largest suppliers of workplace medication and is a market leader in the occupational health field. "We are very excited about what the 2001 season will bring for our drivers and fans. Textilease is very involved in the improvements we are making at the speedway. South Boston will kick off the 2001 season on Saturday, March 10th and Sunday, March 11th. Saturday's events will include the Super Stocks, Limited Sportsman, Pure Stock 4s and Rolling Thunder Modifieds. On Sunday, the $5,000 to win, HOMEMAX 150, featuring South Boston's Textilease NASCAR Late Model Division, will precede the debut of NASCAR's Featherlite Modified Series in a 200 lap feature. Both events on Sunday will be televised on a tape delay basis by Fox Sports Net South and Home Team Sports.
