Earlybird 100 Postponed - Reset For Saturday night March 10th At Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL (Feb 26) - The 2001 Southern All Stars Asphalt Racing Series was trying to get the season off to a good start in Birmingham, AL, at the Birmingham Int'l Raceway until mother nature paid a visit to the track early Sunday morning when a heavy line of thunderstorms came through the area and flooded the infield area forcing officials to postpone the race until Saturday night March 10th.

The surface of the track would have taken several hours to dry out as after a heavy rain it still bleeds through the surface and would not be in the best shape for racing.

The 8th Annual Earlybird 100 will be schedule now for Saturday night March 10th with pit gates opening at 12 noon, practice at 2 p.m. qualifying at 6 p.m. and race time set for 7 p.m.
