It Was A Triplett Double Night At OCS!

Durham's David Triplett Jr., took his first Late Model victory of his career. To top it off, Triplett then brought home a second checkered flag for the night.

Triplett, lead all 100 laps in the first race, and the last 50 laps in the 75-lap race. Following behind Triplett in the 100 lapper, were Justin Snow, Ryan Gray, Wayne Patterson, and Frank Deiny Jr. rounding out the top five. The 75-lap event went to Triplett, with Wayne Patterson, Terry Dease, Ryan Gray, and Scott Kirkpatrick rounding out the top five.

Peyton Sellers, of Danville VA, brought out the checkered flag in the Limited Sportsman Division. Brent Briggs, Daryl Carver, Jonathan Cash, and Steve Jarjabka round out the top five. The Grand Stock Division ended with Timmy Ferrell taking his first victory at OCS in the Grand Stocks, followed by Brent Evans, Brian Cole, and Billy Purnell. Tim Bailey, Jim Piland, and Tracey Chambers fill in the top three for the Mod 4's. The Pure Stock 4 win went to Joel Likness, followed by Brent Ferrell, and Jeff Wilson.

The next event at Orange County Speedway will be Saturday, May 26. The Gatorade 290 will feature 150 laps for the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model Stocks, Twin 40-lap features for the Limited Sportsman, 25 laps for the Coca-Cola Grand Stocks, 20 laps for the Budweiser Modified 4’s, and 15 laps for the Unlimited Dreams Pure Stock 4’s. General admission for adults is $12, with children 9 and under free with a paid adult.
