Elliot Sadler and Motorcraft team up with Long Brothers Racing

Raleigh, NC (August 30, 2001) Elliot Sadler will drive the #84 Long Brothers Racing Ford in the Kroger 200 at Richmond International Raceway for the second year in a row. Motorcraft will be the primary sponsor for the race and the truck will carry the familiar colors of Elliot's Winston Cup car. Team Ford Racing will also be along as an associate sponsor.

Last year, Elliot started 22nd but quickly moved up through the field and ran in the top five much of the night. Elliot was set to make his move after the last round of pit stops, but was sidelined by a mechanical problem just after the restart and finished a disappointing 29th.

The team is excited about returning to Richmond with Elliot at the wheel and is looking to improve on it's season-best fourth place finish, which came at Memphis with Chad Chaffin.

Long Brothers Racing plans to compete in at least one more NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2001, South Boston. Other than for the Richmond race, the truck is currently unsponsored. The team is seeking sponsorship for the remaining race and any others someone might be interested in.
