Mid-Atlantic Championship 500

Stephen Grimes led all 250 laps to win the Mid-Atlantic Championship 500 at Caraway. Ray Young, Billy Hogan, Steve Loftin, Dan Moore, Jason York and Butch Hamlett were the only cars on the lead lap.

Jason York was crowned track champion for the 2nd year in a row. Jerry Burr led by 4 coming in but was involved in a couple of wrecks and eventually blew a motor.

42 cars on hand including ARA champs Greg Marlowe and Scott Kilby, both were caught up in a wreck after Scott Reynolds blew a motor.
