Caraway 150October 13, 2001Steve Loftin sat on the pole but finished 2nd to Jason York with Stephen Grimes, Jerry Burr and Billy Hogan rounding out the top 5. 26 cars on hand, one of Caraway's largest fields of the season. Jerry Burr holds a 4 point lead over York & 12 points over Hogan going into the season ending 250 in 2 weeks. --Caraway Pit Reporter The Reidsville Rocket Captured 9th Victory and Narrows Burr’s Points Lead to TenOctober 6, 2001Brad Brinkley of Sanford captured the Late Model Stock Pole Award for the 50 lapper. After a mandatory drawing of the top six qualifiers Rusty Harpe of Lexington and Travis Swaim of High Point started of the front row. In the end when the checkered flag flew, Jason York of Reidsville was leading the pack. Swaim posted his best career finish of second. Billy Hogan of Troy, Jerry Burr of Asheboro and Robert Tyler of High Point rounded out the top five finishers. In the points battle Burr maintains a 10 point lead over both York and Hogan. In the 30 Lap Limited Late Model event Clay Campbell of Martinsville, Virginia captured the pole award. Lexington’s Larry Sink captured his first victory of the season after battling to the finish with Jeff Garrison of Clemmons. Mike Bledsoe of Elon, Campbell and James Triplett of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.
