Anderson Heads Back to Caraway SpeedwayRoseville, CA - California's Greg Anderson, who currently resides in Concord, North Carolina, is gearing up for the WAYNE HOMES MAKE-A-WISH 150 Late Model race at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C. on September 1st. After finishing 6th in last months Craftsman 150 in the #12 Stewart Motorsports Pontiac Grand Prix Late Model, Anderson and car owner Pete Stewart, a Caraway Speedway veteran racer, are gaining momentum after teaming up just two months ago. "We've experienced some problems with the new car early on at Caraway," Anderson said. "The races are usually non-stop, and the car is really good on short runs - it's the long runs that we need to improve on, and that's what we're hoping to do this weekend."
Anderson and his team are on the right track as they prepare for the longer races coming up later this year, the Taco Bell 300 at Martinsville, and the Mid-Atlantic Championship 400 at Caraway Speedway, where they will definitely be contenders. Anderson is no stranger to the sport of auto racing. Even though he just turned 20-years-old, 15 of those years were spent behind the wheel of quarter midgets, micro midgets, go-karts, legends, and late models. During the past five years, he has driven for three late model teams and traveled throughout the west and mid-western states. Anderson was also a regular on the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour before recently moving from California to North Carolina. --Info Source: Sharon Anderson, Anderson Racing
